The average cost of a full skin examination is between $155 and $191, depending on the duration required.

At time of publishing, the Medicare rebate for this is between $43.90 and $84.90.

 

Brief appointments to check a single lesion or specific area are billed at between $75 and $108, again, depending on duration/complexity.

At time of publishing, the Medicare rebate for this is between $20.05 and $43.90.

 

Minor procedures during your consultation such as cryotherapy and biopsies incur additional charges, usually between $30 and $110.

Medicare rebates are available for most of these.

 

If an excision is required, this will usually be scheduled for another date and the doctor will discuss overall cost and Medicare rebates. Indicative out of pocket costs vary from $250 to $500 on average, depending on location and complexity.

 

Botox is charged at a cost of $15 per unit, with average overall costs depending on units required and regions treated. This usually varies between $210 and $420.
